Yelagiri

We went to Yelagiri in the month of Sept end, still weather was hot during that time.Scenic beauty wise, some portion of the place looks similar as that of ooty, but the place is not for more than one day visit. If you want to go for a day outing from Bangalore, its okay and will be good if you are going  on winter(Nov-Dec). Here are some pics which we took while driving from Bangalore to Yelagiri. And I heard the place is good for trekking there are two three spots, but we didn't do any!

Ooty

A popular hill station in South India situated in Nilgiries district of Tamilnadu.Nothing much to say about this place.Every tits and bits of information regarding this place are well available in net.One important thing is, be early for your dinner, as you don't find any hotels and restaurants open after 9pm here.

Yercaud

We went to Yercaud in the month of March 2010, the place was not ok as per our expectation . Before going there, we went thru different websites about the place, somewhere I found this place is called as poor man's Ooty...when we went there, we found that it's actually a miniature Ooty. It has all the places as Ooty has, like Botanical garden, Rose garden, one lake but all are smaller in size and less attractive if you compare them those with Ooty. Anyways, it was worth visiting for weekend relaxation. We went by car from Bangalore, it took us arround 5hrs with breaks in between.
Most dissapointing thing in Yercaud was, no care was taken to keep the place clean, the roads are all full of garbages. Though it was March then and it's a so called hill station, there was no need of cold clothes and it was hot through out the day.
Forgot to mention, road is good if you are taking NH07 all the way, try avoiding the alternate SH path.The NH07 path(Hosur-Krishnagiri-Dharmapuri) is much better than SH alternative.While going from Bangalore, we strictly followed Google map and took the path shown in map thru SH, but road condition was real bad. While returning from Yercaud, we took the NH07, just go straight on NH07 till you reach Hosur, road was too good and without traffic. After Salem, there is a ghat road with 20 haipin bends, so be careful if you are driving by your own.

Phuket...

I thought of posting the pictures first, before I could write something about this beautiful place. I am amazed by the beauty of this place and the kind of things stored for a traveller.I simply admire the beauty of this place and I have no words to describe this to you all.I would simply say, go there, experience the beauty and warmth of sun,sand and beach...and lot more.
